And The Winner Is
Scores were tabulated giving an equal weighting to
both the time/distance component of the rally, and the question &
answer portion. Competitors were penalized positive points for the
amount of time or distance they were off from our measured master route
list. We then subtracted the aggregate score of their total from the
Q&A portion of the rally. A very low (negative) score means that
the team had very little variation in both time and distance from our
calculated master chart, which led to a low positive score, and they
had a high score on the Q&A component, which was then subtracted
from their first score. The best score possible was -360.
